Join Us! Lived Experience Research Hub Webinar

Join us for a short webinar on Thursday 27 March (12:00-12:45 GMT) to celebrate the launch of the Lived Experience Research Hub (LERH), a new website to bring together lived experience experts and researchers to improve research standards. The inclusion of lived experience in gambling research is vital in ensuring more equitable, inclusive and effective outcomes, but finding the right partners with the right skills can be difficult and time consuming. The LERH brings together three services:

  • Matching service: A new tool to help both researchers and lived experience experts find and connect with one another to collaborate on research projects
  • Lived Experience Access Fund (LEAF): A funding programme that supports people with lived/living experience of gambling harm, enabling active participation in research, training, conference travel, and other related capacity-building opportunities
  • Minimum Standards Framework (MSF): A set of guiding principles to which researchers should adhere to provide adequate care, support and opportunity to those with lived experience of gambling harm.

In this 45-minute webinar, LERH project director Steve Sharman and web developer Dotun Omidiora (both of King’s College London) will introduce the site and provide a brief demo of the main features before answering questions from participants. The event is open to all and welcomes anyone with an interest in gambling research – from academics and lived experience experts to affected others, policymakers and health professionals.

The LERH is a collaboration between the Academic Forum for the Study of Gambling (AFSG), GamLEARN, King’s College London and Greo Evidence Insights.

Please note, a link to the website will be shared with all participants shortly after the launch event.
